Y'all- I am ECSTATIC! I literally JUST got the email I was chosen to be a family photographer in Louisville, KY with the Magic Hour foundation... not sure what that is??
The magic hour foundation is a national network of professional photographers who look to serve individuals and families fighting cancer. They do this by coordinating a photo session to celebrate the truly important things in life through photography. These charitable portrait sessions provide an opportunity for families to feel special and strong while they relax, smile and enjoy time with loved ones. Above all, we strive to express compassion and love as we support them, no matter the outcome of their battle.
This non profit is SO near and dear to my heart for a couple reasons..
ONE- how amazing is it that someone thought to organize a foundation for families fighting cancer to receive a free photo shoot to capture what could be some of their last moments with their families?
TWO- If I could turn back time, I would have had A MILLION photo shoots with my sister. Hell, she is the reason I got so serious with my photography and actually got off my ass and did something about it. The fact that I will be able to use my talents and help families attain some of their last moments whole means more to me then I could ever express in this blog.
